MedSuite
- Imaging Workflow
MedSuite's Document
Imaging software allows the user to define a workflow for each type of
document that they wish to capture. Document types include
Hospital Face Sheets, Anesthesia O/R Records, Charge Cards, EOBs,
Managed Care Contracts, and many others. |
 |
MedSuite's workflow definition allows images to be sent to any number
of user-defined "stations" by the type of image and, in this manner, is tailored to suit each
clients
needs and requirements. For example, some
clients perform a separate front-end coding process before a charge-card
is sent to data entry, while others require that the physicians enter
the appropriate procedure and diagnosis codes and the charge cards are
sent directly to data entry. Imaging workflow may be configured such
that images of charge cards may be sent to coding where they are
processed and then to data entry, or they may be sent directly to data
entry. Paper EOB's may be sent from payment entry to another group
for printing, attaching, and mailing with secondary claims.
Data entry can be
performed directly from the images rather than from the paper.
Therefore, the act of attaching an image to the data that may be later used
to retrieve the image (known as "indexing") occurs as the direct result
of performing data entry from the image rather than somehow trying to
manually index the images.
